A food timetable helps you eat on time, stay energized, and avoid skipping meals 😊

Here’s a simple daily timetable you can adjust for work/school in Port Harcourt:

    Sample Daily Food Timetable

    • 6:30 – 7:30am: Breakfast
Goal: Energy to start the day
Ideas: Oats + fruit + nuts, Akara + pap, Eggs + bread + tea, Yam + egg sauce
    • 10:00 – 11:00am: Mid-morning Snack
      Goal: Stay focused
Ideas: Banana, groundnuts, yogurt, biscuit, boiled corn
    • 1:00 – 2:00pm: Lunch
      Goal: Main meal
Ideas: Jollof rice + chicken + salad, Pounded yam + egusi, Rice + beans + stew, Pasta + fish
    • 4:00 – 5:00pm: Afternoon Snack
      Goal: Avoid evening crash
Ideas: Fruit, suya, puff-puff, smoothie, plantain chips
    • 7:30 – 8:30pm: Dinner
      Goal: Light, easy to digest
Ideas: Soup + swallow, Rice + stew, Moi moi + garri, Veggies + protein
    • 9:30pm: Optional
      Goal: If hungry before bed
Ideas: Warm milk, tea + cracker, fruit. Avoid heavy oily food late.

    Tips to make it work

    • Drink water: 2-3L daily. Have a bottle with you.
    • Prep ahead: Cook lunch/dinner in bulk on weekends.
    • Balance: Try to get carbs + protein + veg + fruit each day.
    • Adjust for schedule: Shift times 1-2 hours if you work night shifts or classes.

Even if you choose to create convenient food timetable that calmly suit you, it important to balance it with different diet. Though doing so might be cheap or cost depending the scale of consumption (if it’s personal or family).

But then, you look at what works for you and carry everyone along… Here’s a little way to go

    1. Weekly timetable with different meals each day
    2. Budget-friendly Nigerian meal plan
    3. Weight gain / weight loss / healthy eating version

Though I’m not a foodie but I hope this article helps you to get the right balance timetable for you and your family… Hope to see you soon
