Drinking water does way more than just quench thirst.

    Energy + brain

    • Focus and mood: Even mild dehydration makes you feel foggy and tired. Water keeps blood flow to your brain steady.
    • Fewer headaches: Dehydration is a common trigger for tension headaches.

    Body function

    • Digestion: Helps break down food and prevents constipation.
    • Temperature control: Sweat and circulation rely on water to cool you down, especially important in Port Harcourt heat.
    • Joint and muscle support: Water cushions joints and helps muscles work without cramping.

    Health maintenance

    • Kidney health: Flushes waste and lowers risk of kidney stones.
    • Skin: Keeps skin plump and helps with elasticity. Not a magic cure, but dehydration definitely shows on skin.
    • Weight management: Water has zero calories and can help you feel full, so you snack less. Also sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger.

    Immunity + recovery

    • Helps transport nutrients and clear out waste, so your body recovers faster after workouts or being sick.

General rule most people aim for: around 2-3 liters a day, but it depends on activity, heat, and body size. Since you’re in Port Harcourt, you’ll probably need a bit more with the humidity.

How much water are you drinking on a typical day right now? If not enough then do more.

Also remember, wine and juice doesn’t replace water even though it’s liquid too…

i know you learn from me today and I hope to see you always… Cheers
